New Growth Areas of Russia-China Trade and Economic Cooperation Will Be Defined at IV Russian-Chinese EXPO

IV Russian-Chinese EXPO will take place on June 15-19, 2017 at Harbin International Exhibition Center (Harbin, People’s Republic of China). The EXPO event approved by Governments of the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China is a major international exhibition organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and by и the People’s Government of Heilongjiang Province, People’s Republic of China.

The topic of the EXPO in 2017 will be “Russia and China: New Growth Areas of Russia-China Trade and Economic Cooperation, Development of Innovations”. There will be Pavilion of Russian-Chinese cooperation at the EXPO, where leaders of national industry will present their achievements, among them: ROSTECH State Corporation, RZD Logistics JSC, Vi Holding, Special Economic Zones JSC and others. Additionally, Russian regions will have their stands in the pavilion. In particular, Khabarovsk Territory, Chelyabinsk Region, Lipetsk Region, Primorye Territory, Kaluga Region, Amur Region, Irkutsk Region и другие.

Also, the following venues will be organized at the exhibition: International Pavilion, Pavilion of Electromechanical Equipment, Sector of Regional Rebirth, Sector of Construction Materials, Sector of International Logistics, Sector of Cross-border E-Trade, Sector of Intellectual Manufacturing, Sector of Green Agriculture, Sector of Biomass and Equipment of Integrated Use, Sector of Financial Cooperation, Sector of Cultural Industry etc. The following industries will be presented: consumer industry, agriculture, agricultural machine-building, security systems, medical equipment, transport machine-building, petrochemistry, pharmaceutical industry, shipbuilding, information technologies, road construction, power, water resources and metal industry.

Business program will be organized within the frame of the EXPO, including theme panels, presentations and marketplace of business contacts. Its participants will discuss relevant issues of developing intellectual manufacturing, science and engineering developments, manufacturing of electrical products, financial and customs operations, e-trade. Participation in forums and business negotiations will open for exhibitors and EXPO participants new commercial opportunities and will promote multi-faceted and multi-industry trade and economic cooperation between Chinese and Russian companies.

Russian-Chinese EXPO is successor of Harbin Trade and Economic Fair, which was successfully held and became widely internationally known in 1999-2013.

In 2013, Governments of Russian and China took decision to create a major international platform for presenting industrial and innovative potential of the countries, establishing business, including trade and economic, investment and science and engineering cooperation.

67 countries were presented at First Russian-Chinese EXPO in 2014, number of participants exceeded 11,000; half of them were from Russia. The volume of concluded transactions amounted to USD 3.15 bln; more than 260 agreements on science and engineering cooperation were signed.

20 major Russian-Chinese contracts and agreements for more than USD 5.5 bln were signed during II Russian-Chinese EXPO-2015.

48,000 persons visited III Russian-Chinese EXPO, which took place in 2016 in Yekaterinburg; total exhibition surface was 8,500 sq.m. More than 250 Russian and Chinese companies took part in the exhibition; 24 agreements for more than RUR 54 bln were signed upon results of the event.
