Harbin Electric Corporation to Build Production Facility in Kaluga SEZ

An agreement between the Government of Kaluga Region and Harbin Electric Corporation was concluded on June 6, 2019 at   XXIII Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum.  It was signed by Anatoly Artamonov, Governor of Kaluga Region, and Si Ze-Fu, Chairman of the Board,  Harbin Electric Corporation.

The agreement provides for construction of a plant at Lyudinovo site of Kaluga SEZ. The plant is to manufacture boilers, steam turbines and turbine generators for power-generating units of 200 MW, 300 MW, 500 MW and 800 MW heat power stations. The land plot will have an area of  22 ha.

The company plans to invest about RUR 10 billion in the project. Approximately 300 new jobs are to be created.

Harbin Electric Corporation is one of the largest manufacturers of equipment for power industry in China.  The company designs equipment for power plants located around the world. It takes part in EPC projects for heat, hydro and integrated power stations. It manufactures over 3,000 types of products for refining, petrochemical, mechanical engineering, steel, nuclear power and defense industries.
