Fuyao Glass Rus OOO is to invest RUR 300 million in a new production line and automation projects. According to the company’s forecast automotive glass sales in 2019 are to grow by 20%. Sales are to grow both in the Russian market and in other countries. This information was announced by Se Chzi, Deputy Director General, Fuyao Glass Rus OOO.
The plant in Kaluga is the largest FUYAO project implemented abroad. The production facility manufactures a wide range of automotive glass products for cars and trucks. The list of key customers in Russia includes the plants of Volkswagen, Volvo, Nissan, Hyundai, Renault, Peugeot, Ford and others. The company also cooperates with GAZ and UAZ plants. Fuyao Glass Rus also exports its products to Spain, Belgium, France, Italy, and other countries. Currently export sales account for over 50% of glass products manufactured in Kaluga.
Se Chzi, Deputy Director General, Fuyao Glass Rus OOO, noted that the plant would manufacture 5,500,000 automotive glass products in 2019.

Leading international automotive manufacturers are our customers. We supply our products to both OEM and ARG clients. We are to continue the development of our Russian plant and we plan to find local suppliers. Currently we procure the larger portion of float glass from Russian suppliers. Localization is our top strategic priority. We also pay nuch attention to the production processes’ automation”.
Fuyao Glass Rus OOO invested about RUR 1 billion in new equipment procurement in 2018. The company built and commissioned a new continuous windshield hot extrusion production line featuring the most advanced global technologies. As a result the plant’s production capacity reached 2.5 million windshields per annum. Apart from that new lines to manufacture glass products for trucks and encapsulated quarter windows were commissioned, contributing to the plant’s product range expansion.
