An agreement between the Government of Kaluga Region and Laboratoire Naturelle SA, Switzerland, was concluded on June 6, 2019 at XXIII Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum. It was signed by Anatoly Artamonov, Governor of Kaluga Region, and Vaagn Manukyan, Chairman of the Board, Laboratoire Naturelle SA.
The agreement provides for construction of a plant at Borovsk site of Kaluga SEZ. The plant is to produce perfumery and cosmetic products. The land plot will have an area of 5 ha. The company plans to invest about RUR 467 million in the project. Approximately 280 new jobs are to be created.
Vaagn Manukyan, Chairman of the Board, Laboratoire Naturelle SA, said: “According to marketing research, the Russian market of hygiene products has a growth potential of 15% per annum. Close proximity to Moscow, availability of tax and customs preferences as well as administrative support of the Kaluga Region government bodies make us optimistically view the prospects for expansion in the Russian and global markets”.
