Kaluga Electromechanical Plant Launches Production of Next Generation Metal Detectors

Kaluga Electromechanical Plant (KEMZ), a member of Avtomatika Concern, Rostech State Corporation,  has launched production of  modern single-zone and multi-zone metal detectors. They are to be used to secure various facilities and public events.

Alexander Silaev, Commercial Director, Kaluga Electromechanical Plant, said: “New metal detector arches have better functionality as compared to similar products. They are more convenient in terms of their operation and tuning as they may be supplied with a self-contained power source (even if there is no power supply metal detectors will be able to function for three hours). They may be fine-tuned from a remote operator’s panel or keyboard”.

The new metal detectors also have another advantage as compared to similar detectors from other manufacturers. Vertical or horizontal detection zones may be set. However the vertical option is preferable as the detector clearly identifies the location of an object causing alarm on a human body. In case of a horizontal option the detector will not be able to restrict the search zone if, for instance, the central sector initiates the alarm.
