Greif Steel Drum Plant Commissioned in Kaluga Region

Greif commissioned a steel drum plant at a brownfield site in Vorsino industrial park, Kaluga Region. This is the seventh Greif drum plant in Russia.

The production facility has an area of 6,ooo sq.m. 50 new jobs have been created.  The decision to select the site in the Central Russia was taken as it is located by Moscow Transport Hub in the vicinity of key customers’ sites.

The plant has an automated production line with the capacity of 2 million drums per annum.  Apart from that, the second Greif line to manufacture IBC GCUBE containers is to be commissioned in the first 6 months of 2019 in Vorsino. The first such line is being operated at Greif Kazan plant.  Greif customers will benefit from synergetic effect as the range of products manufactured by the plant is to be expanded and they will be able to place  get combined deliveries from Vorsino plant.
