Business Opportunities in Kaluga Region to be presented to Austrian Companies

Fourth meeting of Working Group for cooperation between Russian constituent entities and Austria will take place on March 25-27 in Vienna (Austria). Ilya Veselov, Minister for Economic Development of Kaluga Region will head delegation from Kaluga Region.

‘Day of Russian Regions’ event, where investment potential and projects of Russian constituent entities will be presented, and B2B negotiations between Russian and Austrian businesses are planned within the frame of the meeting of the Working Group.

Harald Mahrer, Chairman of Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, Dmitry Lyublinsky, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Russian Ambassador to Austrian Republic, Michael Angerer, Regional Manager for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, will take part in discussion dedicated to prospects of Russia-Austria economic relations.

Foreign trade turnover between Kaluga Region and Austria in 2018 amounted to USD 63.7 mln (increase by 6.3% if compared with 2017).

Several investment projects are implemented in Kaluga Region with participation of Austrian capital: Magna Automotive Rus (manufacturing of automotive components), Arkhbum Tissue Group (manufacturing and processing of paper products), Pipelife Rus (manufacturing of polyethylene pipes), Gabriel-Chemie-Rus-2 (manufacturing of plastic colors’ and additives’ masterbatches). Cooperation of Kaluga Region with Austrian companies started in 2009 from the launch of MACO Furniture Plant.
