Selection, formation and training of those, who will work at the enterprises of Kaluga Region are the main lines of efforts applied by the administration of Kaluga Region, in particular, by the regional Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.
25, 000 new jobs were created in Kaluga Region over the last several years. The responsible Ministry closely cooperates with HR-services of enterprises, with employment agencies, with the Ministry of Education and with the entities involved in staff training in order to meet relevant staffing requirements. According to data from employers specialists of the Ministry of Labor develop forecast for long-term staffing needs. Government order for specialist training is formed for educational institutions on its basis. There is an item in every investment agreement with partners of the region stating mandatory number of new jobs to be created at the new enterprise. Taking into account the forecasted date for full production, vocational entities already start training of required specialists. Staffing needs of Kaluga Region will amount to 75,400 employees in the coming 7 years, as per long-term forecast of staffing requirements.
Needs will remain high as far as health care professional, engineers, teachers, veterinarians, accountants, programmers are concerned. Such specialists as machine-tool operators, fitters, electricians, welders, machine operators, drivers, sales personnel and construction workers will be in high demand. The share of workers will be almost 64 %, the one of specialists with higher professional education - 22.1 %, the one of specialists with secondary vocational education – 14.1 % of the total structure of forecasted demand.
