Meeting of expert council took place in Kaluga on the 18th of December headed by Dmitry Razumovsky, Minister for Economic Development of Kaluga Region. The meeting was dedicated to review of applications to obtain resident status of Kaluga Special Economic Zone created in the region. Application submitted by TH MILK INDUSTRY Company was reviewed and approved. Total volume of investments to the project exceeds RUR 6.7 bln.
Investments in the expansion of production facilities amounted to RUR 4 bln. Two new production lines will add 30,000 tons of products per year to the existing capacity of the plant. This project was implemented within the frame of the investment program to expand the factory capacity during 2017-2019 period, with total volume of investments equal to RUR 10 bln. The project will create 90 new jobs at the factory. Local content will include about 80% of local raw materials and packing materials, which meet Nestle stringent quality requirements. 95% of Purina products present at the Russian market are manufactured in Vorsino Industrial Park.
L'Oréal invested 2.5 billion rubles in expansion of its plant and commissioned new lines for manufacturing of L’Oréal Paris and Garnier skincare products at the plant’s new facility. The plant will work to satisfy growing demand for L’Oréal products. With 43 billion rubles in goods turnover in 2016, L’Oréal is a leading company on the Russian cosmetics market (Euromonitor overall market data, including haircare, hair dye, cosmetics, perfumery, face/body skincare categories).
Samsung Electronics has announced the launch of next generation TV sets production at its Kaluga plant. The new TV sets use QLED technology. It reproduces the entire color palette within the entire brightness range through the improved quantum dot technology.

This is a new efficient and highly automated plant in Russia. It will significantly increase the supply of 1000x3000 mm plates, thus satisfying the growing demand in the local and the global markets”.
