An official ceremony dedicated to opening of Aleshinsky OOO robotic milk farm was held in Meschovsk District, Kaluga Region, on February 25, 2013.
The ceremony was attended by Anatoly Artamonov, Kaluga Region Governor, Leonid Gromov, Kaluga Region Minister of Agriculture, and Rinat Gubaidullin, InvestAgro OOO President.
The innovative project provides for the use of voluntary milking systems (VMS) developed by DeLaval. Currently the new facility is equipped with six robotic milking systems.
The facility (fist stage) is intended for 400 cows. Currently there are about 330 cows at the farm, including over 200 pedigree heifers and 35 Holstein-Friesian breed cows (American selection) from Rakhimov Multiplication Farm, Republic of Tatarstan.
Speaking of the plans for the near future Rinat Gubaidullin expressed his hope that the second stage of the cattle farm intended for 1,100 cows would be completed and a number of farms would be established in the district. "We also plan to supply automated milking systems", he said.
