Avtomatika Concern Opened a New Plant of Mobile Communication and Control Systems

Avtomatika Holding (GK Rostec) put into operation a new workshop to produce control and special communications machines for security agencies. High-mobility vehicle-based machines are equipped with digital data communications systems, satellite communication and special equipment.

Vladislav Shapsha, Governor of the Kaluga Region, and Vladimir Gutenev, First Deputy Chairman of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia, visited the official opening of the new production site, which is located on the territory of the Kaluga Electromechanical Plant (KEMZ).

“Rostec pays great attention to the modernization and establishment of new production facilities. The new building of 1.8 thousand sq.m is equipped with advanced equipment necessary for special customers to have communication and control facilities. This will increase the production volume to 100 machines per year. The project had investment of about 91 million rubles was implemented within the Federal Target Program for the Modernization and Technical Re-equipment of Defense Industrial Complex Enterprises,” Sergey Sakhnenko, General Director of the United Instrument-Making Corporation (Ruselectronics brand), said.

KEMZ is mainly involved in the creation of information and telecommunication systems and communication complexes for special purposes, the production of communication means with cryptographic information protection, and automated management systems.

“Now our country is in a fairly complex situation, but this provides great opportunities for accelerated development. In terms of legislation, we are implementing projects aimed at increasing financing, including such preferences as subsidies and concessional lending. This will help us meet new challenges,” Vladimir Gutenev, First Deputy Chairman of the Union of Mechanical Engineers of Russia, Chairman of the State Duma for Industry and Commerce, said.
