On May 3, a delegation of the Chinese company Q-Carbon Material Co (Shanghai) made a working visit to Kaluga Region. The company is one of the leaders in advanced materials in China. It develops and manufactures products from composites, carbon, which are used in the aerospace industry, solar energy, and semiconductor production.
The host party was headed by the Governor of Kaluga Region Vladislav Shapsha. Welcoming the delegation, he thanked Chinese businessmen for their interest in the region, which he said is actively working with other Chinese companies. “We attach great importance to expanding these ties. Our leaders recently held talks. Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin said that now Russia needs to turn to the East. This opens up new opportunities for us,” the head of the region emphasized. He also noted that Kaluga Region could find common ground with Chinese business in many areas of mutual interest.
General Director of Agency for Regional Development of Kaluga Region Nikolai Andreev presented the investment potential of the region at the meeting.
Representatives of Q-Carbon Material Co, in turn, spoke about the company's activities, expressing interest in developing friendly relations with the region.
The Governor assured business partners of full support for joint projects, expressing confidence that this meeting will serve as a start to new great successes. “We will consider that this is the beginning of a long journey,” Vladislav Shapsha said.
