Vladimir Potyomkin, Deputy Governor of Kaluga Region and the Head of Kaluga Region Representative Office under the Government of the Russian Federation, took part in an official ceremony dedicated to opening of Globus Multifunctional Trade and Production Facility in Kaluga Pravoberezhie district. The new facility is owned by GLOBUS SB Warenhaus Holding GmbH&Co.KG, Germany.  

Nikolay Vladimirov, Minister for Competition Policy and Tariffs of Kaluga Region, Dmitry Razumovsky, Kaluga Mayor, Tomas Bruch, owner and CEO of Globus, Volker Saar, Director General of Giperglobus LLC, also attended the ceremony.

The hypermarket opened in Kaluga is the sixteenth facility of its kind owned by GLOBUS SB Warenhaus Holding GmbH&Co.KG in Russia. GLOBUS SB Warenhaus Holding GmbH&Co.KG  is one of the oldest German companies. It was founded in 1828. Currently it owns over 160 large malls in Germany, Czech Republic and Russia.   

Globus Kaluga has an area of 5,800 square meters, and has a parking lot. Three hundred new jobs were created. It offers over 25,000 food and other products, including those supplied by Kaluga Region farmers and processing industry. The facility has its own full-cycle production facility (meat shop, bakery, delicatessen shop, fish zone, sushi zone, food court and restaurant).
