A cooperation agreement between Kaluga Region Government and ELA Container RU related to implementation of an investment project on construction of a production facility for assembly and, at a later stage, production of container-type mobile rooms, was concluded on February 6, 2019. The agreement was signed by Anatoly Artamonov, Kaluga Region Governor, and Stefan Leopold, CEO, ELA Container RU.
The agreement provides for construction of a plant for assembly and, at a later stage, production of container-type mobile rooms in Vorsino industrial park. Thirty new jobs are to be created.
ELA Container GmbH, Germany, manufactures buildings assembled of containers. Its range of products includes buildings for various purposes: office premises, housing and warehousing facilities, special purpose buildings, hospitals, camps, etc. The company has manufactured mobile office and housing buildings with an area of up to 20,000 m2.
Günther Albers, CEO, ELA Container GmbH, said that at the first stage EUR 6 milion would be invested in the project. He noted: “We are start the construction in April. The facility is to consist of several production lines. The scope of production depends on the market demand – 10,000 or 20,000 containers. The Russian market in general and Kaluga Region in particular are of primary importance for our company. In the future we may market our products in the CIS countries, and Europe, exporting our products via Freight Village Vorsino transport and logistic center being a part of New Silk Road international project, to enter the market of China.
ELA Container GmbH products are certified in accordance with the most stringent requirements and may be used immediately upon installation. As containers are made of hot galvanized steel elements and their heat insulation consists of one-piece sandwich panels with high density polyurethane, they are suitable for use in any climate and efficiently withstand negative environment impact.
Anatoly Artamonov said: “New technologies offered by ELA Container will help us solve the problem related to construction of first air/obstetric posts in the region. I am positive that the products will be in great demand in other regions as well”.
ELA Container GmbH representatives thanked Kaluga Region authorities for the support they provided. Günther Albers said: “We have analyzed the situation in many regions and we were able to compare offers. We have made the right decision to build the production facility in Kaluga Region. Here we have great opportunities for the project implementation. We have already found customers in the region, for instance, Bosco, and residents of Vorsino industrial park. We procure over 50% of all materials in Kaluga Region”.
