On September 7, 2014 EcoBazaar farm market official opening ceremonytook place in Obninsk. The event was attended by Anatoly Artamonov, Kaluga Region Governor, Leonid Gromov, Minister for Agriculture, Alexander Avdeev, the Head of Obninsk Administration, Vladimir Mekhrishvili, Vice President and Managing Partner, CorpEstate real estate holding, and others.   Scope of investments – about US$ 20 million.  

EcoBazaar concept perfectly fit the Kaluga Region agriculture development strategy, which provides for full-scale support of local agricultural products’ manufacturers.   The new market offers selling premises to local farmers. EcoBazaar facilities are equipped in accordance with the most modern standards.   Thus, EcoBazaar is a combination of a traditional market and a modern trade center offering various services to its visitors. Thus Obninsk residents will enjoy the entirely new level of trade and services .

EcoBazaar total area exceeds 11,000 sq. m. Over a half of the area is the sales floor for farmers and auxiliary premises ( washing and cleaning premises, veterinary laboratory, warehousing facilities and refrigerators).

Apart from herbs, fruits and vegetables visitors may buy taiga berries with excellent health giving qualities,  venison dietary meat, home-made sausages, fresh and live  fish, wild honey,  fresh bread from the oven, home-made yogurt and more.

Vladimir Mekhrishvili expressed his gratitude to the government of Kaluga Region for supporting the project. He also noted that his company reviewed options for building a similar farm market in Kaluga .
