Volkswagen Group Rus to Launch Skoda Rapid Production in Kaluga
Volkswagen Group Rus officially announced its preparation for Skoda Rapid production at its Kaluga plant.
Previously it was announced that Skoda Rapid assembly would begin in 2014. The production facility retooling to launch production of Skoda Rapid, a compact liftback, at Kaluga plant, is to begin in summer 2013.
Volkswagen Group Rus is to introduce changes in its Kaluga plant 2013 production schedule as it will retool its production facility to produce Rapid and transfer Octavia production to its Nizhny Novgorod plant.
