Gestamp-Severstal-Kaluga becomes the major cold stamping plant in the world
Press conference dedicated to the expansion project of Gestamp-Severstal-Kaluga plant was held on September 18 in Kaluga.
Since its opening in 2010 investments in the plant amounted to Euro 180 mln, equal to RUR 8 bln. At the moment approximately 400 employees work at the plant. It is planned that 170 new jobs will be created.
It is assumed that the existing site will be expanded by 21, 670 sq.m. Therefore the total surface of the plant will be equal to 55, 655 sq.m. Investments in Kaluga plant allowed to implement two new lines for large-size stamping (G1 or tandem lines), which will increase production capacity of Gestamp-Severstal-Kaluga plant by 66%.
