Kaluga Region’s Governor Takes Lead in the Efficiency Rating of Regional Leaders

Izvestia published the first rating of regional leaders that is to become one of the principal tools for evaluation of their efficiency by the presidential administration. 23 governors were identified as the most efficient by gaining more than 75 points. Kaluga Region’s Anatoly Artamonov got 93 points.

The first integrated rating of governors was prepared by a group of experts led by the head of the Civil Society Development Foundation Konstantin Kostin. Their work was evaluated on the basis of the region’s economic performance, the assessment of the leader’s work by federal and regional media, the opinion of the expert community and results of social research.

Heads of regions were divided into four group – “very high rating”, “high rating”, “average rating” and “below average rating”.
