On January 22 in Moscow the Governor of Kaluga Region, Anatoly Artamonov met the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to the RF, Mr. Umit Yardym.

In the context of the business lunch both sides discussed possible ways of cooperation. Among them there is automobile industry, agriculture, timber processing industry, production of building and finishing materials and the sphere of tourism.

Now all the projects with participation of Turkish capital are successfully developing in the territory of Kaluga Region.

In 1998 a factory of SABMiller Company was opened in Kaluga. Today it is “Moscow-Efes brewery”.

“Omega Lease-Kaluga” Company implemented the construction of a concrete making factory. Today the same company is constructing a logistic centre, located in the territory of  the industrial park “Vorsino”. In addition to that, Turkish companies were engaged into the construction of such automotive enterprises as “PSMA Rus”, “Continental Kaluga”, “Gestamp-Severstal-Kaluga ” as building contractors.

The Turkish company “ADOBAR” is carrying out a housing project “Dubrava” in Kaluga.

In October 2014 within the limits of a contract with the Turkish company “Kastamonu Entegre” a preliminary agreement on the construction of a new timber-processing factory in the territory  of the industrial and manufacturing Special economic Zone “Ludinovo” was reached.

Note:

In 2013 the foreign trade turnover between Kaluga Region and Turkey reached 50,3 mln. USD (it increased  more than 3 times in comparison with the 2012 indicators)

According to the results for 9 months of 2014, the foreign trade turnover between Kaluga Region and Turkey reached 25,4 mln USD (it increased 1,9 times in comparison with the similar period for 2013).
