In the beginning of January 2015 the Investment portal of Kaluga Region was launched in Japanese and Korean languages. That is the first project of this kind in the Central Federal District just like a Chinese version, which has recently been put into operation. Now the information resource is accessible in five languages – in Russian, English, Chinese, Japanese and Korean.

Kaluga Region keeps on taking resolute steps to improve business climate through the creation of easy to grasp information products for businesses. The portal became the key resource demonstrating the investment potential of the region. Taking into consideration the current geopolitical situation and possible development trends of the interrelations between the Russian Federation and the World, the created language versions will facilitate the expansion of cooperation with other countries.

With the help of this information resource, the representatives of the international business society will be able to study the economic potential of the Region, get to know about the industrial sites available for the production placement, tax benefits and incentives. Besides the Investment portal permits its users to focus their attention upon the social and economic realities of Kaluga Region and determine strategical directions for investment.

It should be mentioned that the Investment portal was worked out in 2012 when Kaluga Region became one of the pilot regions where standards of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives were introduced and tested. According to an investment portals’ rating of the subjects of Russia developed by Expert RA agency the Kaluga Region portal held the 3rd place in 2013. Experts estimated its informational content and usability. The resource is among Top-3 search results on Yandex and Google.
