On November 15, 2016 a business delegation from Italy visited Kaluga Region. The delegation consisted of heads of Italian businesses, interested in new business contacts, as well as in expansion and strengthening of business ties. These companies belong to various industries, including agriculture-related manufacturing (agricultural equipment and machinery,   greenhouse equipment, food industry equipment), engineering, pharmaceutical industry (packaging production), construction industry (production of household and industrial boilers, industrial tanks, water treatment   equipment), steel industry. The itinerary for the two-day visit provides for visits to Vorsino and Grabtsevo.industrial parks, Detchino agriculture center. The delegation was to visit Freight Village Vorsino multimodal transport and logistics facility, Berlin Pharma plant, and Detchinskoe farm. Apart from that the delegation was to visit Kaluga international airport.         

Anatoly Artamonov pointed out that for many years Kaluga Region had good business relations with many countries. He said: “Over 160 investment projects are being implemented in the region. The vast majority of investors commissioned their production facilities in 12 industrial parks or Kaluga special economic zone. These plants are integral parts of different regional clusters”.  

Niccolo Fontana, the head of the trade and economy department of the Italian Embassy in the Russian federation, said: “Kaluga Region is one of the most attractive regions of Russia in terms of business development. Many Italian companies are aware of that. We want to strengthen our positions and expand cooperation. Russia is a top priority country for us”.

Italian companies implement nine different investment projects in Kaluga Region. The list of the companies includes Berlin Pharma, Zuegg Russia (fruit semi-products), HT&L Fitting Rus (automotive components’ production), Laminam Rus (ultra-thin ceramic panels’ production), Palladio Zannini  (packages for pharmaceuticals and cosmetics), Gervasi Vostok (truck bodies’ production), merkator Kaluga (road and utility equipment and machinery).
