On June 4, at the site of the XXIV St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), a cooperation agreement was signed between the Kaluga Region and McDonald’s. The document was signed by the Governor of the Kaluga Region Vladislav Shapsha and General Director of McDonald’s Marc Carena.

Under the agreement, the company intends to implement the fast food network construction and development project in the Kaluga region. It is planned to open up to 3 new enterprises over the next 5 years. 240 new positions will be created.

McDonald’s is one of the leaders in import substitution in the catering industry in Russia. The company currently receives 99% of its products in Russia from domestic suppliers. This indicator tends to increase to 100% in future.
