On the 25th of June the official opening ceremony of the International Baccalaureate board of Kaluga International School took place. Kaluga International School became the participant of the constantly growing  global community, which at the moment includes 3968 schools of the International Baccalaureate in 147 countries all over the world. The news surfaced on the 27th of January, 2015. The Deputy Governor of Kaluga Region Ruslan Smolenskii and the Deputy Minister of Education and Science Snezana Terekhina took part in the opening ceremony. The students of the school, which received the status of  IB World School, will be able to study according to the Primary Years Programme (PYP) of the International Baccalaureate (IB).

Kaluga International School is International Baccalaureate have a positive impact on the students, schools and surrounding society, because education goes outside the frameworks of a classroom. Such a unique conception of learning provides full involvement of pupils and teachers in the process of education and gives an opportunity to use system of communication with global community unequaled in the whole world. The students have an opportunity to participate in the international conferences and the education personnel cooperates with colleagues all around the world.

The director Irina Kin noticed, that Kaluga International School is one of 7 schools in Russia, which give programmes of International Baccalaureate in English. “The next year will the forth in the school practice and we will start it with 60 students from 15 countries all over the world” – Irina Kin added.

So Kaluga International school is accredited by a Programme of International Baccalaureate (IBO, Switzerland), the programme of Cambridge (Great Britain), and Russian State Basic programme of pre-school and primary education.
