“The Petersburg politics” fund published the monthly rating of the social-political stability of the federal subjects of Russia for December 2014.

Following the results of the research Kaluga Region became a part of the group consisting of twelve regions with maximum stability.

Experts considered the first technical flight, which had been made after the reconstruction of the airport “Kaluga”, and a number of important for the region agreements, which had been signed, as some of the positive events, which influenced its high rating.  We speak about an agreement on the construction of the helicopter complex “Helocopt-Kaluga” in the regional centre, about a woodworking factory in the SEZ “Ludinovo” and about the cooperation between the regional administration and the holding company “Sinara-transport machines”.

Among the number of other achievements is the creation of the Aviation and Space technologies cluster in Obninsk, the opening of a manpower training resource centre for the building sector and a family livestock-breeding robotic farm in a Kaluga suburb. Besides experts note the visit of the Norwegian-Russian Chamber of Commerce and a permanent position of Anatoly Artamonov among the leaders of the rating given by the fund of the civil society development. Experts also point to the fact that the Housing and Communal Services Fund accepted the financial support application of the region for the major repairs of blocks of flats, which also is of real importance.

Expert believe that there are some main factors which influenced the results of the rating: the first is the inclusion of Kaluga Region by the National rating agency into a group of the subjects of the Russian Federation with high investment attractiveness and the second main factor is the Obninsk first place in the cities sustainable development rating by the SGM agency.

Speaking about the suspension of production at the “Volkswagen Group Rus” and “PSMA Rus” factories until the middle of January, experts referred this to the negative events happened in the region.
