Kaluga Region was included in the group of the maximum stability regions of the monthly regions’ social and political stability rating compiled by Peterburgskaya Politika Fund and REGNUM News Agency for December 2012.
Kaluga got 8.3 points, with the average Russian regions’ rating for December being 6.78.
Positive events taken into consideration when calculating Kaluga Region’s rating included groundbreaking ceremony at the new internal combustion engine plant led by Dmitry Medvedev (Opora Rossii, Ease of Doing Business Rating); acknowledgement of Kaluga Region’s role as one of the most promising places for investments by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives; signing of a Decree on Lyudinovo Special Economic Zone (industrial type) opening; Obninsk Gas Turbine Station commissioning.
Peterburgskaya Politika Fund monthly rating has been published since autumn 2012.
