Kaluga Region summarized the implementation of priority national projects in 2013. On January 24, the region’s Deputy Governor and Head of the Governor’s Administration Nikolai Liubimov chaired a meeting of the board on the implementation of priority national projects and the demographic policy.
In 2013, the region continued to implement the Agricultural Complex Development national project. In the report period, regional agricultural enterprises were granted RUR 1,183 million from budgets of all levels. The region’s gross agricultural output reached RUR 26,5 billion. From the launch of the national project, more than 3,000 units of farming equipment were acquired.
The region is developing dairy stock farming and crop farming, and has recently launched construction of modern robotized farms.
