Kaluga Region Government Delegation Has Reached Cooperation Agreements at China-Russia EXPO in Harbin

Kaluga Region Government delegation headed by Vladimir Potyomkin, Deputy Governor of Kaluga Region, takes part in China-Russia EXPO 2015, a major international exhibition. Its members has held a number of meetings with representatives of Chinese companies and heads of provinces.   

On October 11, 2015, on the eve of the China-Russia EXPO 2015 official opening ceremony, Vladimir Potyomkin held a meeting with Sun Yunbo, Deputy Governor of Heilongjiang province. They spoke of promising joint projects in the field of timber harvesting, healthcare and education. For instance, student exchange programs were discussed.   

Today, on October 12, 2015, Kaluga Region delegation met Li Kun, the city of Yichun mayor.  Yichun companies are deeply involved in timber harvesting and furniture production. A number of agreements have been reached between Kaluga Region and these businesses.  Yichun delegation consisting of local businessmen and officials is to visit Kaluga in the near future.

Vladimir Potyomkin also took part in the meeting of Dmitry Ragozin, Deputy Chairman of the Government of Russia, and Wand Yang, Vice Prime Minister of the State Council of China, with heads of regions and companies of two countries.  

Vladimir Potyomkin also delivered a presentation on Kaluga Region trade, economic and  investment potential at the Day of Russian Regions. For the first time a short promo film on Kaluga Region was shown in the Chinese language. The film demonstrates the social and economic development  of the region and its proposals for industrial investors, namely industrial parks  (greenfield, brownfield, built-to-suit) and Kaluga special economic zone.
