Russian Government to Provide RUR 92.66 mln under Its Support Program to Kaluga Automotive Cluster

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation has completed the provision of federal budget subsidies to Russian industrial parks’ and technology parks’ management companies in 2015.  

The ministry has taken a decision to provide subsidies and transfer funds (RUR 252 million) to industrial parks’ and technology parks’ management companies pursuant to Resolution No. 831 of the Government of the Russian Federation and the provisions of agreements concluded by the ministry.

The government has provided support to 11 parks located in 10 Russian regions. Kaluga Region Development Corporation was among the recipients. RUR92.66 million was transferred to support the implementation of an investment project named Development of Kaluga Region Industrial Parks Infrastructure: Formation of Automotive/Automotive Components Cluster (Vorsino, Grabtsevo, Rosva, Kaluga-Yug industrial parks). 

According to Dmitry Ovsyannikov, Director of the Department for Regional Industrial Policy,  the Ministry of Industry and Trade has fulfilled its obligations to industrial parks’ and technology parks’ management companies, which submitted requests for subsidies from 2015 federal budget, in full. Thus, the ministry has implemented one of two key government support measures used to promote the development of industrial parks’ and technology parks’ industrial infrastructure. Dmitry Ovsyannikov said: “The next selection of industrial parks’ and technology parks’ investment projects for the government support provision is to commence on February 1, 2016 pursuant to the Russian Government resolution No.  831. It will last till November 5.  We hope industrial parks’ management companies will be active in submitting their requests”.
