On the 18^th of September under the plenary meeting of the IXth Samara Transregional Economic Forum «Cluster policy is the basis for innovative development of the national economy» the solemn presentation of a bronze certificate «Cluster Excellence» to the uncommercial partnership «Kaluga pharmaceutical cluster», undergone a procedure of the management system evaluation, which was organized by the European Secretariat of Cluster Analysis (ESCA), took place. 

The certificate, confirmed the highest level of a cluster management system and the correspondence to the results of leading world practices, was presented to the executive director of «Kaluga pharmaceutical cluster» scientific enterprise, Novikova Irina Igorevna. Notwithstanding the fact, that Kaluga pharmaceutical cluster, created upon an initiative of Agency for Innovative Development of Kaluga Region, is one of the youngest, the results of its activity received top-grade rating in «Health and medical science» group.

As Helmut Kerguelen, the director of the European Secretariat of Cluster Analysis, marked – «…the results of Kaluga pharmaceutical cluster’s activities exceed a great number of other clusters, varied on the following characteristics as «the funding attraction of the third party for needs of the cluster’s members, realizing Research and Advanced Development projects», as well as in «participants instruction about the various programmes and opportunities, available to them». No wonder that such efforts have already been giving their fruits – Kaluga pharmaceutical cluster surpasses other clusters in a number of mutually developed products and services, and in the development of small business».
