On November 28, the Government of Kaluga Region and Palladio Zannini Indastrie Grafiche Cartotecniche SpA signed an agreement on the construction of a plant to manufacture packaging for pharmaceutical and cosmetic products. The signing took place at the headquarters of the regional administration.

The company plans to invest EUR 10 million in the initial stage of the project, which will create 100 jobs. According to Mauro Marchi, General Manager and owner of Palladio Zannini, the plant is planned to start operation at the end of 2015. “We intend to support Kaluga’s pharmaceutical companies by supplying high quality packaging”, says Marchi.

“We have the potential to become one of the most powerful pharmaceutical clusters. The region’s pharmaceutical cluster has already been recognized as one of the eleven most promising ones in the Russian Federation. The strategic objective is to develop our research facilities”, commented Anatoly Artamonov, Governor of Kaluga Region.
