La Lorraine to Increase Investments in Kaluga Production Facility up to 4 Billion Rubles

On June 3, within the XXIV St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), an additional cooperation agreement was signed between the Kaluga region, La Lorraine Rus and the K-Agro Industrial Park. This document was signed by the Governor of the Kaluga region Vladislav Shapsha and General Director of La Lorraine Rus LLC Anton Pershin. The ceremony was attended by the owner and CEO of La Lorraine Bakery Group Guido Vanherpe.

La Lorraine Rus is one of 4 residents of the K-Agro Industrial Park in the Kaluga region. The company’s investment project in the region is a bakery manufacturer.

The cooperation agreement was signed in 2018. The amount of the committed investments was then 1 billion rubles. The number of positions was 300.

Within the SPIEF, the company announced an increase in investment in the project up to 4 billion rubles.

Vladislav Shapsha noted: “Stable and reliable partnerships are factors of successful business development. The company intends to invest in the production growth, which confirms its long-term outlook in the Kaluga region. We are interested in every stage of this project to be successful, and will continue to provide comprehensive support.”

La Lorraine Bakery Group is a 100% family-owned company, which is the first in Belgium to manufacture and sell a wide range of fresh bakery, pastries and confectionery (over 1,450 items). In addition, it is considered a leader in the production of frozen bread and bread in protective packaging. The company was founded in 1939.

K-Agro is the largest agroindustrial park in the Central Federal District to unite production and logistics infrastructure. The park development concept implies the consolidation of food raw materials and their processing, packaging of finished products and their storage and distribution.
