On October 28, 2013 Governor Anatoly Artamonov held a meeting with the delegation of   Limousin province, France, headed by Jean-Paul Denanot, Limousin Province Council. The meeting took place in the building of Kaluga Region Administration.     

The meeting attendees mentioned that there were numerous areas for mutually beneficial cooperation between the regions. Particular attention was paid to agriculture, agro tourism and hospitality industry,  R&D programs.  Jean-Paul Denanot said: “We plan to continue our cooperation with Kaluga which lasts for a decade. We want to conclude new agreements in the field of education to ensure knowledge and experience exchange between the students of our countries”.

According to official sources, on October 28, 2013 a licensing agreement for ALTES seed potato is to be concluded between GROCEP/SEMENTIS and Kaluga Research and Development Institute of Agriculture.  On October 29, 2013 a number of agreements on cooperation between the regions in educational sphere are to be signed in Obninsk.
