Polymer Products’ Logistic Hub to be Commissioned in Kaluga Region

A new logistic facility built by KSS Rus OOO, a subsidiary of Karl Schmidt Spedition GmbH & Co. KG, Germany, is to be commissioned in Vorsino industrial park, Kaluga Region.   

A major distribution center for polymer products to be delivered by container trains is to become a part of Freight Village Vorsino multimodal transport and logistic center. The new facility will pack, store and ship polymer products to Russian and foreign consumers.  The packing shop capacity is 500,000 t per annum.  Sibur Holding JSC is a general partner of the project. SIBUR products will account for about 75% of the hub turnover.  

KSS Rus LLC is a 100% subsidiary of  Karl Schmidt Spedition GmbH & Co. KG, Heilbronn, Germany. KSS RUS OOO employs over 400 people working in three separate business units located in Tobolsk, Kstovo and Vorsino, as well as in the company’s headquarters located in Nizhny Novgorod.  The project provided for revamping of Cross Docking Facility No. 2 built in 2016, and the engineering infrastructure located at a land plot with an area of over 7 ha.  The reconstruction project included the construction of the packing facility and revamping of warehousing facilities and office buildings. Apart from that the logistic infrastructure was also revamped.
