Anatoly Artamonov, Kaluga Region Governor, and Oleg Budargin, Director General, Rosseti OAO, took part in an official ceremony dedicated to commissioning of Kolosovo electric substation in Vorsino Industrial Park. The ceremony was held on December 23, 2014.

The project objective is to enable the connection of new facilities to a power grid and to ensure uninterrupted power supply to consumers located in the northern part of Kaluga Region.  

When delivering a speech at the official opening ceremony Anatoly Artamonov noted that the new project was of great importance for further development of Kaluga Region power sector. He said: “We embarked on this project several years ago. We have set major objectives, and, we consistently pursue them, which is important. Thanks to our fruitful cooperation with Rosseti OAO in the field of Kaluga Region power sector development we managed to provide access to electric power to more customers”. 

Oleg Budargin also mentioned that power consumption in Kaluga Region had grown and highly praised the efficient cooperation with the Kaluga Region Government.   

Kolosovo substation has been equipped with modern plants manufactured in Russia under an import substitution program.  The engineering developments of Russian companies ensure higher reliability of the substation under local climatic conditions. The substation transformers maintenance and repair works do not require the substation shutdown while fully meet the requirements of electrical safety regulations. 

On the same day Anatoly Artamonov and Oleg Budargin signed an agreement on behalf of Kaluga Region and Rosseti OAO on cooperation to ensure reliable power supply in the regio
