New Kaluga Region Projects: Agro-Industrial Park and Industrial Waste Processing Facility

On June 17, 2013 a meeting of the Investment Council under the Governor of Kaluga Region was held. Two projects’ concepts have been reviewed: the construction of an agro-industrial park in Borovsk District and an industrial waste  processing facility establishment in Maloyaroslavets District.

The new agro-industrial park is to be established to process Kaluga Region agricultural products. It is to use the existing transport and engineering infrastructure.  The project concept provides for construction of production facilities, logistics and service infrastructure required for full-scale manufacturing process – from acceptance of raw materials to delivery of finished products to customers.  In the course of the project implementation directs ties are to be established with agricultural and food industry companies from Belarus, Ukraine and the central regions of Russia.

The second project provides for establishment of Eco Techno Park industrial center in Maloyaroslavets District. The center is to process solid waste to be delivered from Kaluga Region waste dumps. The industrial center’s concept is based on an industrial zone principles ensuring complete processing of waste and environmental neutrality.
