Vladislav Shapsha: “It is critical to scale up the experience of small and medium-sized businesses (SMB) gained from entering commercial production chains of large companies”

On June 15, at the production site of Biotechnological Complex – Rosva JSC, the Head of the Region Vladislav Shapsha held a working meeting with the company’s management on the development of cooperation between small and medium-sized agribusinesses and large manufacturers. The meeting was attended by Deputy Governor of the Region Vladimir Popov and Regional Minister of Agriculture Leonid Gromov.

Biotechnological Complex – Rosva JSC is the only company in Russia that produces sorbitol, glucose monohydrate, and special glucose-fructose syrup from wheat. Moreover, its 9-item product line also includes gluten, starch and special feed mixtures. These products drive out equivalent foreign-made products and their volume and range may vary depending on the market needs. This ensures very high competitiveness of the factory, coupled with the use of current and up-to-date technology. Since the beginning of its operation (March 2018), the company has sold goods worth RUB 2.5 billion. More than 300 employees manufacture the entire product portfolio.

During the meeting, it was noted that in 2020 almost half of the raw materials required for production (50,000 tons of grain) will be purchased in Kaluga Region. Vladislav Shapsha emphasized the importance of cooperation between SMB and large enterprises.
