On January 31, 2013 Kaluga Region Arbitration Court building opening ceremony was held in Kaluga.
The ceremony was attended by Alexander Beglov, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Central Federal District, Anton Ivanov, Chairman of the Supreme Arbitration Court of the Russian Federation, Anatoly Artamonov, Kaluga Region Governor, and Alexander Gubin, Chairman of the Arbitration Court of Kaluga Region.
The speakers at the official ceremony noted that the opening of the new Arbitration Court building became a significant event for Kaluga Region, as a leader in the field of economic development. Alexander Beglov said: "Kaluga Region with its highly efficient investment policy is a locomotive of the Central Federal District and Russia as a whole. The efficiency of judicial system is a factor of great importance especially if we speak of business disputes. The very business climate of the region depends on it".
Anton Ivanov said that the Arbitration Court would contribute to accessibility and openness of the judicial system. Speaking of its further development he expressed a hope that in the nearest two years we would witness a wide-scale introduction of the most advanced electronic means in the judicial system.
