On April 17, 2013 Maxim Shereikin, Deputy Governor of Kaluga Region and the Head of the Ministry for Information Society and Innovations Development of Kaluga Region, held a meeting with Gerard Vandenbroucke, First Vice President of the Regional Council of Limousin Province, France. The meeting was held in Kaluga Region Administration building.

In the course of the meeting the parties discussed the areas of mutually beneficial cooperation.  Special attention was paid to introduction of advanced IT and telecom technologies. Both parties view the implementation of innovative programs as a top development priority.

The attendees pointed out that the development of IT solutions for healthcare sector is of primary importance for Kaluga Region and the relevant experience accumulated in Limousin may be viewed as a basis for development in this sphere.

Gerard Vandenbroucke said: “We strive to eliminate barriers between companies and training centers. We have R&D laboratories. And we are ready to develop partner relations with Kaluga Region businesses”.
