On the 4^th of June in the representative office of Kaluga Region in Moscow the business evening of Investors’ club, dedicated to the achievements and perspectives of regional investment policy, took place. The participants of the meeting became the representatives of the Government of Kaluga Region, business communities, the leaders of institutes for development, of financial and banking authorities. The head of the region Anatoly Artamonov had welcome speech.

The participants of Investors’ club discussed the results of the long-term cooperation of Kaluga Region with other countries and denoted new economic guidelines in modern conditions. The successful cases in the realization of projects on the territory of Kaluga region were also represented.

In his speech Anatoly Artamonov emphasized the socio-economic progress of the region.

Let’s put in remembrance that in the preceding year the amount of investment in Kaluga Region was 100 billion rubles. In the region 12 large industrial enterprises were opened, 18 investment agreements were completed and more than 2300 modern workplaces were created.

Not long ago the area of Ludinovo special economic zone was extended uo to 1042 hectares.  The SEZ territorial expansion by means of including areas in Borovsk ditrict will allow to allocate high-quality productions in close vicinity to the source of scientific and human potential — science city Obninsk.

The matter also concerned the strategic priorities of regional policy, in particular, the development of transport and logistics infrastructure, which includes roads and railways, an airport system и multimodal logistics centers in the form of «freight village». Today «Freight Village Ru» includes 2 centres on the territory of Kaluga Region: the centre of federal significance «Freight Village Vorsino» and the interregional centre «Freight Village Rosva».

Having thanked actual and potential partners for business interest in Kaluga Region, Anatoly Artamonov assured that the regional authorities were ready to render a thorough assistance for business development. «Under current circumstances we’ll focus on solving specific problems, on improving business conditions and on he attraction of extra-budgetary resources to the economy of Kaluga Region», - Anatoly Artamonov summarized.
