On April 28, 2014  STARWOOD HOTELS & RESORTS opened Four Points by Sheraton hotel in Kaluga. It is the first hotel under this brand in Russia and one of the fist hotels in Kaluga managed by a global chain. The official opening ceremony was attended by Anatoly Artamonov, Kaluga Region Governor, Klaus Brandtstetter, Regional Manager/Business Development Director of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Tony Toshev, Four Points by Sheraton Kaluga General Manager, partners and other honored guests.

The new hotel is located in the central part of Kaluga in the vicinity of local tourist sights and Kaluga business and government quarters.   

Tony Toshev delivering his welcoming speech, said: “The decision to open a hotel in kaluga was quite natural for us. This is one of the most rapidly developing regions in Russia. The opening of the hotel under  Four Points by Sheraton brand is an excellent addition to our portfolio, made under  our global development strategy. We believe the brand has excellent prospects in terms of introduction of global hospitality industry standards in Russia. Immediately after its opening the hotel will be included in our global reservation system”.

Governor Anatoly Artamonov in his turn noted that the opening of Kaluga International Airport would donate to increase of the number of tourists and businessmen travelling to Kaluga.  The new airport is to be commissioned in the end of May.   

The hotel has 174 rooms, conference halls with modern equipment to host business events, a spa, a gym and a restaurant, where cooking shows will be organized.
