On September 20, the government of Kaluga Region and agricultural holding company Miratorg signed a cooperation agreement for creation of beef cattle breeding complexes. The agreement was signed at the Sochi-2014 XIII International Investment Forum by Governor Anatoly Artamonov and Miratorg Vice President Mikhail Skvortsov.
By 2018, the company plans to build eight farms capable of accommodating 32,000 heads of Aberdeen-Angus cattle breeding stock in six south-west districts of Kaluga Region. For this, over 40,000 hectares of land will be returned to agricultural use, the required infrastructure will be built and 300 new jobs will be created.
Total project investments will reach RUR 6 billion.
