A delegation of top managers from Indian small and medium businesses representing various industries visited Kaluga Region on March 15, 2019. The visit’s objective was to get an insight into Kaluga Region economy, investment projects, and industry infrastructure. Apart from that, the delegation was to attend a B2B meeting with Kaluga Region SMEs.
The visit itinerary provides for a visit to Vorsino and Grabtsevo industrial parks of Kaluga Region.
In the afternoon Indian businessmen are to hold the meeting with their colleagues from Kaluga Region at the Chamber of Commerce of Kaluga Region.
It is worth mentioning that the first container train arrived from Mumbai, India, to Freight Village Vorsino multimodal terminal in the fall of 2016. It was organized under One Belt – One Way international logistic project. Kaluga Region Government is interested in increasing the cargo flow on the route.

There are 12 industrial parks, two sites of Kaluga special economic zone and Sosensky priority social and economic development area in Kaluga Region.
There are 10 modern industry-specific clusters in Kaluga Region, including a pharmaceutical cluster, an aerospace cluster for polymer composite materials and structures, an agroindustrial cluster, an automotive industry cluster, a transport & logistics cluster, a construction materials’ cluster, and a metal processing cluster. These clusters include production facilities of both Russian and world famous international companies.
