Anatoly Artamonov among Leaders of Civil Society Development Foundation Rating

Civil Society Development Foundation headed by Konstantin Kostin in cooperation with an expert group presented the final (seventh) governors’ efficiency rating officially published by Investia. This time the experts did not carry out any opinion surveys   or analyze economic statistical data unlike in case of regular ratings’ development. The governors’ efficiency was assessed on the basis of the entire year results.

The rating TOP10 remained virtually unchanged, as usual. It became TOP10 of 2014 leaders.   There were no changes in positions within TOP3 as well. Dmitry Kobylkin, the head of Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Region, leads the race by a slender margin, followed by Anatoly Artamonov, Kaluga Region Governor, and Rustam Minnikhanov from Tatarstan.

Anatoly Artamonov holding the second place in the final rating also held top positions in previous ratings. This helped him become a leader in positive stability nomination.

According to experts, the inclusion of Anatoly Artamonov and other governors in the  positive stability group can be explained by long-term success in their regions’ social and economic development as well as their personal high authority among the residents of their regions. In his interview to Izvestia Anatoly Artamonov said: “It is very simple. We work diligently. Naturally, we constantly communicate with our people, otherwise I had no chance to be the governor for so many years. The development of our economy is my top priority. All other problems can be solved if we develop the economy, get extra earnings and people have high salaries.    If the economy is not developed, everything else is in vain.“
