Obshestvennoe Mnenie (Public Opinion) Foundation and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives have presented the rating of the Russian regions in ITAR-TASS news agency.  Alexander Oslon, Obshestvennoe Mnenie Foundation President, and Andrei Nikitin, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives Director General, mentioned that this was the second rating of the Russian regions based on the people’s perception of business climate.  Kaluga Region was among the leaders.   

The following indicators were used for the Business Pulse Rating preparation: people’s attitude towards business (Attitude towards Business factor), assessment of business climate in the region by people (Business Environment factor), regional authorities attitude towards entrepreneurs (Authorities and Business factor) as well as the assessment of the number of entrepreneurs’ growth in the region (Business Dynamics factor).

Kaluga Region was included in the top group of the rating upon receipt of the maximum number of positive marks. The top list also includes Tatarstan, Zabaikalski Krai, Sakhalin, Kamchatka, Tomsk Region, Tyumen Region, Republic of Komi, Mariy El, Mordovia.
