SINTEC Lubricants, Obninsk, Transfers 15 Tons of Disinfectants to Kaluga Region Ministry of Health

On April 21, 2020 top managers of  SINTEC Lubricants (formerly – Obninskorgsintez) headquartered in Obninsk transferred to the Ministry of Health of Kaluga Region 15 tons of chlorine-based disinfectants.

SINTEC Lubricants holds the leading positions in the Russian market of antifreeze agents, motor oils and lubricants, as well as other special liquids for motor transport. During COVID-19 pandemic the plant starting manufacturing strategically important  products, namely two types of disinfectants. They are to be used for treatment of premises and public areas, as well as to disinfect hands and small surfaces. In the near future the company plans to launch the production of gel disinfectants at a new production line.   

Every day the plant at average manufactures 100,000 customer-size packages of antiseptic liquid and about 200 t of disinfectants for premises and surfaces treatment.  The disinfectants are provided either free of charge or on extremely favorable terms to municipalities and relevant organizations.

The products manufactured by SINTEC Lubricants were transferred to Tatyana Komyagina, the Head of Department for Licensing and Public Pharmacare, who accepted it on behalf of the Ministry of Health of Kaluga Region.  She pointed out that the company was a highly responsible corporate citizen  playing an active role in combating pandemic in difficult times. She said: “The shipment of the large batch of disinfectants is especially important now. The substances will be used to disinfect premises of Kaluga Region medical facilities. It is necessary to disinfect them thoroughly on a regular basis to prevent COVID-19 further spread”.
