On May 23 - 25, 2013 a Kaluga Region delegation headed by Governor Anatoly Artamonov paid a working visit to Kiev Region, Ukraine.
In the course of the visit Governor Artamonov took part in Partnership: Integration and Investments, a summit of the heads of regions partnering with Kiev Region. Addressing the audience Anatoly Artamonov noted that the list of Kaluga Region trade partners included over 100 countries. Traditionally Ukraine holds top positions in the list. In 2012 the trade turnover between Kaluga Region and Ukraine almost reached US $ 350 million.
According to Governor Artamonov, Kaluga Region and Kiev Region could cooperate in the field of agriculture, energy efficiency projects in the utility sector and wood processing facilities' modernization.
An agreement on cooperation in the field of trade and economy, science and technology as well as culture was signed by the representatives of Kaluga Region Government and Kiev Region Administration. A business meeting between Governor Artamonov and Kiev Mayor was held.
