The Industrial Output in the Kaluga Region will Amount to 1 Trillion Rubles at the End of 2021

By the end of the year, the regional industry will reach the milestone of 1 trillion rubles. Deputy Governor Vladimir Popov announced this at the site of the Kaluga Industrial and Innovation Forum. The amount of 903 billion rubles was achieved in 10 months of 2021.

As compared to the previous year, the growth of industrial production amounted to 10%. It was noted that the dynamics was stable last year. In terms of industrial production per capita, the region is still ranked 1st among the regions of the Central Federal District.

There is an increase in export deliveries. At the end of January-September 2021, the volume of exports amounted to 1.1 billion US dollars, or almost 152% compared to the same period last year.

“The year that comes to an end seems to be good for our enterprises with the output growth seen on certain points. The regional pattern of work with industrial companies is used to take into account the requirements, preferences and capabilities of every stakeholder. Russian and foreign manufacturers who deployed in the Kaluga region note that the created system of state support measures, as well as friendly business relations built by the Government of the Kaluga Region, beneficially affect the entrepreneurial activity in the region”, Vladimir Popov said.

He also noted that this year 17 companies have undertaken to implement investment projects in the region for a total amount of more than 50 billion rubles. New production facilities will create about 2 thousand jobs.

6 agreements of intent were concluded with potential investors. The declared investment volume is 23 billion rubles. The number of new jobs is 1,266.
