Center for Youth Innovative Creativity Has Been Opened!
On July 8, 2013 Maxim Shereikin, Deputy Governor of Kaluga Region, attended the official opening ceremony of FabLab Model Spectr Center for Youth Innovative Creativity in Obninsk. The center is a member of global hi-tech digital laboratory network.
New center's process equipment and software will help young people realize their ideas and implement entrepreneurial projects. The center will organize three laboratories to design and build aircraft, ship and robot models. Apart from that workshops, master classes and training sessions will be held.
Anatoly Sotnikov, Director General, the Agency for Innovative Development of Kaluga Region, said: The key objective of FabLab Model Spectr's creation is to promote and support scientific and creative works of children and youth, to teach how to use modern process equipment and software. The center is an inseparable new part of innovative infrastructure of Obninsk in particular and Kaluga Region in general. It will help implement projects to participate in national and regional youth entrepreneurs’ support programs".
