Partnership with Japan: Bright Future
On June 3, 2013 Anatoly Artamonov, Kaluga Region Governor, held a meeting with a delegation of Japan Association for Trade with Russia & NIS (ROTOBO) headed by Nishioka Takashi, RITOBO President.
The parties discussed issues related to bilateral cooperation. The delegation members supported the expansion of the parties’ cooperation in the field of automotive industry and highly praised Kaluga Government’s experience in the field of cooperation with investors which promoted the successful operations of PSMA Rus OOO, a joint venture of Mitsubishi Motors and PSA Peugeot Citroen. Apart from that, Japanese businessmen also expressed their interest in launching cooperation projects with Kaluga Region in the following areas: medicine and pharmaceuticals, agriculture and urban development.
