Scientists from Obninsk will be involved in production of radiopharmaceutical products
A solemn opening ceremony of specialized charging plant for technetium-99m generators was held on September 3, 2013 in Obninsk at the Branch of Karpov Institute of Physical Chemistry. Representatives of Rosatom State Corporation, regional administration, city administration and leading hospitals of Russia were invited.
The plant is fitted with modern equipment and instruments; all process operations are performed in clean rooms with production capacity of 200 generators per week. Commissioning of this plant means that all Russian hospitals will be provided with high-quality fault-free generators of technetium-99m.
